Arteris Network on Chip Reaches New Milestones in 2010 with 9 New Customers and First Year of Cash Flow Positive Operations

Arteris Marketing, 2011年03月08日

SUNNYVALE, California – March 8, 2011 – Arteris Inc., the inventor and leading supplier of network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP solutions, today announced that it closed 2010 with cash-flow positive operations for the first time, due to increasing customer adoption, growing revenues and shipments of FlexNoC™,  the Company’s second generation network on chip interconnect IP platform.  Arteris was also profitable on an accounting basis in fourth quarter of 2010.

“2010 was the year we turned the corner in many ways: We achieved positive cash flow. We set a record for most new licensees. And our customers have had multiple successful tapeouts of SoCs using Arteris NoC Interconnect IP technologies.”

The successful year was highlighted by six of the top ten world-wide semiconductor companies choosing to deploy Arteris NoC technology in their SoC designs through calendar year 2010.

“2010 was the year we turned the corner in many ways: We achieved positive cash flow. We set a record for most new licensees. And our customers have had multiple successful tapeouts of SoCs using Arteris NoC Interconnect IP technologies,” said Charlie Janac, President and CEO of Arteris.

“Our customers have felt comfortable to commit more and more projects to using our mature FlexNoC Interconnect IP platform. While there have been a number of academic and a few internal NoC development efforts, Arteris is the only company that has shipped a true working commercial network on chip interconnect that addresses the increasing need for rapid design turnaround and integration, scalability, low area, low power and high performance.  Our financial performance and premier team of investors allows us to sustain the continued investment in NoC technology development and global support capability.”

Arteris is backed by a group of experienced and respected venture investors including Crescendo Ventures, TVM Capital, and Ventech. Corporate investors include ARM Holdings, DoCoMo Capital, Qualcomm Incorporated, Synopsys, and others.

Arteris NoC interconnect IP technology enables SoC designers to achieve lower power, higher memory bandwidth and optimized latencies by individual connections. This improves SoC performance, lowers SoC costs and enables rapid adoption of IPs communicating in a variety of protocols.  The growing Arteris ecosystem provides connectivity to a variety of IPs and IP protocols as well as multiple EDA design flows. Use of the Arteris NoC IP simplifies the front-end design process while easing back-end routing congestion and timing closure issues.

The Arteris FlexNoC product offers ability to reduce the number of interconnect wires required for SoC design. Reducing the number of wires resolves routing congestion at the back-end place-and-route stage, resulting in shorter development cycle time, easier timing closure, less SoC complexity, smaller SoC area and less SoC power.
